Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker

We have another pressure cooker on review today. Let us see what this little appliance can do and is Cuisinart electric pressure cooker a necessary item in your kitchen.

First thing we notice about this pressure cooker is the price. It is quite higher then the average and this means we either have a high quality cooker on our hands or a company that doesn't know how to price their products. But since we know Cuisinart and since we tried to use this pressure cooker, we will go with the first possibility.

When you start Cuisinart electric pressure cooker, you will be able to cook food up to 70% faster than with using old, conventional methods. Your best choice from Cuisinart should be a 6-Quart pressure cooker that gives enough room for a family meal. How does this appliance work? With the help of pressurized steam and hot temperature, the pot keeps all healthy vitamins, nutrients and minerals from boiling away into air. Cuisinart pressure cooker seals the moisture in and manages to keep stews, vegetables, roasts more tender and delicious. You will be able to make cheesecake and even custards into creamy deserts.

Cuisinart stainless pressure cooker offers safe cooking, with a lid that is locked in place before pressure builds up. The pot is locked and stays closed until all the pressure is released. You can put the food inside and let it cook until you do your chores or spend some time with family. You won't have to keep your eye on it, because it will let you know when your meal is ready. It's really easy to cook with powerful cookware like this one, Cuisinart pressure cooker is really a mighty appliance. You will have to change all your recipes and cut the time needed by 2/3. Just imagine what can you do with all that free time. And not to mention that now you will be providing your family with more healthy food than ever.

If you think the price is high, you can check out the rest of the offer from other manufacturers. But if you want quality and a pressure cooker that will serve you for a long time in your kitchen, then Cuisinart electric pressure cooker is the right choice for you.

I got the sister model Cuisinart EPC-1200 at Costco 9/4/2009, a limited time offer, for $69.99. I belong to one of the largest pressure cooking group on the web at groups.yahoo dot com/group/PressureCookerRecipes, come on over and meet us. We can find no differences between the CPC-600 and EPC-1200, the manuals are the same except for the manual covers. After using stove top pressure cookers for years, and trying 2 other electronic pressure cooker, I am very pleased with the Cuisinart and its 3 year warranty.

I purchased by Cuisinart CPC-600 at Costco as well but for $79 in the first week of January 2010.

I loved it for the 2 days I had it.

I had to return it because it had a faulty 'red' seal (part 2 in the book).

Cuisinart, said to return it rather than spending the money to return the faulty lid.

I returned it to my local Costco (I had purchased it online). The local store did not carry it.

As it turned out to my disappointment, when I went to reorder the very same day, they were out of stock and have been since.

I'm going crazy trying to find it at the same price $79 (free shipping). Seems the lowest price is $99 with shipping.

Costco is telling me they don't know when they will be getting more in stock.

Even, Cuisinart's own Online WebStore is out of stock!

This must be a very wanted item!

I'm sad now! It was my first pressure cooker and it worked great that first night, until I found the problem.

Any ideas as to where I can get it at the same price with free shipping?

Thanks!

Rob

I think you can buy one at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $99.99 but they always have a 20% off coupon so it's only $79.99.

the Bed Bath and Beyond coupon is for in-store sales only and they don't carry the 6-quart Cuisinart..so I'm going to shop elsewhere

Does anyone know what the PSI is on this model?

Per this person who wrote customer support, the low setting is 6 PSI and the high is 10 PSI: http://www.amazon.com/review/RU34PGFLQ6HB0

I bought mine at Costco for 69.99 (it's the EPC-1200, not the CPC-600, but there seems to be no difference between the two) in November 2010.

Bed Bath and Beyond will honor the 20% off coupon. I have ordered two of the Cuisinart CPC-600 pressure cookers. I went into the store to order them, and was given the discount. I gave one to my son for Christmas and one to myself. So far I love it!

The EPC -100 series Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker that I bought is very tempermental. It is very hard to get it to seal just right. Very frustrating. I would not recommend it.

Just bought a cpc 1200 at Cosco in Bellingham Wa yesterday for $69. I am going cooking crazy with it. I have been using pressure cookers for 30 years. This electric one with all the controls is fantastic. You can prepare the ingrediance, set the timer and walk off and forget it. I do not know how many times I have soaked my cooker for two days and scraped for and hour because I forgot about my stovetop and cremated the contents.
